About

Nate is a Kalamazoo, Michigan native in addition to being a Kalamazoo Central, KVCC and WMU graduate. During his time in school he wrote for The Western Herald and volunteered as a WIDR DJ. In addition to his weekday work in IT, firearms training and target practice have become a regular part of his weekend schedule. He also spends plenty of free time on movies, books, TV, comics and computer games.

Kzoo PEW started simply enough by bringing people to the range to share his enjoyment of shooting sports. More and more it seemed that many others had an interest in firearms for sport or concealed carry but maybe didn’t know where to start or how to go about learning the safe and proper use of them. He found himself offering informal tips and lessons while realizing there are probably plenty of people with interest who might not be comfortable walking into a gun store without some sort of training in the fundamentals.

By taking additional courses and certifying as an instructor with the Liberal Gun Club, Michigan Coalition of Responsible Gun Owners and National Rifle Association, Nate has mastered the knowledge and skills necessary for pistol education including the information needed to teach a qualified Michigan CPL course. He has experience with an ever-growing number of firearms, has visited almost all the local gun shops and is a member at both local gun clubs. If you have questions about gear or where to shoot around Kalamazoo, don’t hesitate to ask.
